ABOUT ME
My name is Elise Palombella. I currently live in Davis, California. I have a BS Chemistry degree from the University of Denver, as well as an Italian minor and a mathematics minor. I am currently enrolled in a PhD program at the University of California Davis to study Climate Change Research in the Agricultural and Environmental PhD program.
My portfolio has an array of different pieces in all different media including: pen/ink drawings, acrylic paintings, watercolor, film photography/darkroom techniques, graphic design posters, mosaics and other 3D pieces and digital photography. Out of all these different methods I tend to still favor classic film photography the most. There is just something magical to me about the richness of color film photos, the way film catches light and film grain.
My present cameras and gear:
A Canon 5D Mark III for all digital purposes, 2 Canon Rebels 2000 35mm film cameras, an Afga II 35mm rangefinder camera, a Rolleicord III (1950-1953) 120 film medium format camera, a Kodak Eastman Premoette Sr. 3.25” x 4.25” slide film large format camera, a Nikon 35mm film camera, as well as numerous other point and shoot film cameras, toy cameras and polaroids, and my prized Canon 50mm f/1.2, and my Canon 24mm f/1.4 L lenses.
I hope you enjoy my artwork, it truly always comes from the soul and it makes me very happy to be able to share it with other people. If you would like to use any of my work for your website, brand or for marketing, please contact me for pricing and options.
